Kia ora
We don't normally send out a Digest at the end of the Term, however, we have a few articles and notices that we wanted to provide to you now rather than later.
Sadly, Michelle Prinsloo will be ending her time with Amesbury School at the end of Term 3 this year. Michelle is a very valued member of Pōhutukawa Hub, and we love having her as part of our team. She has been offered a role that is quite different from classroom teaching, but still within education, and it is a very good opportunity for her. We will be very sad to see Michelle go. Later in Term 3 we will let parents of Pōhutuakwa Hub ākonga (students) know the plan for Term 4.
Mid Year Reports
If you missed the Hero notification on Wednesday, here's the link on how you can access the report comments and what they cover.
Module 2 Inquiry - Planet Earth and Beyond
Demelza has prepared an article on what the kids have been doing in the second of our 3 module year. So if you want to keep up with what the kids have been learning about, I suggest that you spend a few minutes reading the Module 2 inquiry article.
Amesbury's Got Talent
It sure does! If you were unable to attend the final of Amesbury's Got Talent which was held last Friday evening in the hall, then you missed a treat. Instead you will have to settle for the short video and photos included in the Amesbury's Got Talent article.
Matariki
We celebrated Matariki at Amesbury on Monday. Find out what we did here.
Hopefully, you have the opportunity to get away for a few days or do something different these holidays and that the tamariki (children) come back to school all refreshed and raring to for another term in their life-long journey of learning.
