Firstly, an apology for getting this to you all so late this weekend. Lesley and I have been away for a few days and for some reason, it ended up being packed with activities and events - enjoyable but so exhausting - and it didn't help that it was far hotter that what we've been used to in this part of the country.
One of the days that we were away we spent out and about with one of our grandsons. Wow! I cannot believe the amount of energy we must have had when our kids were young, because we've obviously used it all up. We were shattered!
That led me to thinking how well our teachers do, day in and day out. So well done teachers and thank you for your dedication. But at least they get to send the kids home at 3pm and then, parents, it's your job. And what an amazing job you do too. So, all of you, pat yourselves on the back. But don't rest on your laurels. As you get older and see who your children have become, it really becomes a time for pride and satisfaction. We are so proud of the people that all of our children have become and the way that they are caring and contributing members of our Aotearoa New Zealand community.
Anyway enough of being philosophical for the moment.
A big thank you to all of those parents who came along to the Parent Group Sessions last week and for your thoughtful contributions. Don't forget to complete the Parent Survey if you haven't already done so. The article with the links is below.
