Have your say about updating the Education Act 1989.

The Ministry of Education is consulting about updating the Education Act 1989 and want to know your views about the proposals.

This is an important piece of legislation that shapes what happens in our schools and what skills our children take out into the world with them.  This is your chance to have your say in the process.

This discussion document outlines a number of proposals for raising educational achievement. Please take the time to read it and, if you would like to help shape the future of the education system, follow the guidelines for making a submission.

Alternatively more information can be found here (including some videos from Hon Hekia Paraka) as well as a link to the submission form. You can respond to as many of the questions as you like.

Your input is incredibly valuable, even if you only respond to one question. Thank you for your time and consideration of the future of education.
