However, if you need to come onsite please either sign in at the Hub if that is where you are going, or the office for all other visits. While onsite we ask that you maintain social distancing and we also strongly recommend that you wear a mask.

Term 3 Online Conferences

Amesbury School will be holding our second round of student conferences in the final week of this term. Due to our current alert level, these conferences will be held online.

An article with all of the details, including how to book, are included in the HERO notification that you received on 12 September.

If you haven't booked a time already, please do so. Bookings close at 8am this Wednesday (29 September).

Wear your onesie or pyjamas to school FUNdraising day

This Friday, the last day of school this term (1 October), it's Onsie Day as we do our part to help fundraising for Wellington Free Ambulance.  Wear your onsie or pyjamas and bring along gold coin donation.

Sunhats

Since we've had one or two days of lovely sunshine, it's time to think ahead to Term 4 when sun hats are compulsory to wear. Does your child have a sunhat?

  • If not, they can be purchased for $15 from the school shop.
  • If so, do they have a name clearly written on them so they don't get lost amongst the other 300 identical sun hats?

Year 3-6 Amesbury School Athletics Day

Our Year 3-6 Amesbury School Athletics day will be held in the first week of Term 4 (Thursday 21 October) at Newtown Park.

Please note that this will still go ahead at Alert Level 2, however, in this scenario, parents will be unable to attend.

For all of the details please see Eilis's article which includes all of the organisational details.

Construction Site Fence Mural

Onaitta is organising a group of kids to paint a mural on the fence around the new build construction site. Apart from turning an ugly fence into a work of art for the next year or so, the mural will also be entered into the Resene Mural Competition.

You can play your part by bringing in any spare paint that you have lying around. Preferably please have your child drop it into the office. If you bring it in yourself please scan or sign in. Please note that the paint needs to be appropriate for external use.
