School Uniform
School Uniform
Students are required to wear a uniform at Andersons Bay School. These items are all available for purchase through NZ Uniforms. Non-uniform clothing items are not permitted to be worn at school.
Students may wear any of the following uniform items from NZ Uniforms to school.
- Short Sleeve Polo Blue/Black with logo
- Skort Black with logo
- Shorts Black with logo
- Trousers Black with logo
- Tracksuit Pants Black with logo
- Sweater Blue/Black with logo
- Softshell Jacket Black with logo
- Black beanie with logo
- Black or white socks. Can be purchased anywhere.
- Black AB bucket sun hat - compulsory during Terms One and Four when outside
Students may add any of the following black layers underneath their uniform items for extra warmth:
- Black thermal
- Black tights
- Black leggings
Shoes
Students are expected to wear sensible shoes that they can move easily in and that stay on when running and playing. Suitable shoes include sneakers / trainers or similar footwear.
Sports Uniform
Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 must wear an Andersons Bay School sports uniform if they are representing the school in a sports team or activity.
Students in Years 1 - 3 may choose to wear either the Andersons Bay School sports uniform or their school polo top when representing the school in a sports team.
Please note: the Sports Uniform is not a substitute for the school uniform and is not worn in general classes.

Students may also wear plain black sports shorts e.g. bike shorts when participating in sport.
Rain Jacket
The soft shell school jacket is suitable for wearing to and from school on the majority of school days. Students may only wear a non uniform rain jacket to and from school in inclement weather. A non uniform jacket may not be worn at school during the school day.
Hi Vis Vest
All students are issued with a numbered high vis yellow vest at the beginning of the school year. They are expected to wear this vest to and from school each day, as well as on any school trips. Students are expected to be responsible for looking after their vests during the year and handing the vest back in at the end of the year. If a student loses their vest, they need to get a new one issued from the school office.
Second Hand Uniform
Parents may use the school Facebook page to buy or sell second hand uniform items. Parents are also welcome to donate second hand uniform items to the school.
Hair
Students with long hair are expected to tie it back during the school day.
Jewellery
Culturally significant jewellery may be worn under a student's school uniform. It is expected that any jewellery that is worn is safe for both the wearer and others while undertaking any physical activity. Ear studs and very small earrings may be worn but no other piercings or earrings are acceptable at school.
Make-up
Students are not permitted to wear make-up at school.
