The Andersons Bay School Cross Country will be held on Thursday, 8  August 2024 for Years 1-6.

This school cross country will be held on the top field at school with the first race starting at 1:15pm. Girls and Boys run separately.

Order of Races -

1:15 pm Race 1 - One lap of the top field

Nga Tipu - Boys

Nga Tipu - Girls

1:25 pm Race 2 - Two laps of the top field

Year 1 Boys

Year 1 Girls

1:35 pm Race 3 - Two laps of the top field

Year 2 Boys

Year 2 Girls

1:45pm Race 4 - One lap Top field, then down to Barkleys, back up to top field

Year 3 Boys

Year 3 Girls

2pm Race 5 -Two laps Top field, then down to Barkleys, back up to top field

Year 4 Boys

Year 4 Girls

2:15 pm Race 6 -Two laps Top field, up to Top gate, Down to Barkleys, back up to top field

Year 5 Boys

2:30 Race 7 -Two laps Top field, up to Top gate, Down to Barkleys, back up to top field

Times are an estimate - Please arrive 10 mins before your child's race

PLEASE NOTE:

Students need to be prepared with shoes suitable for actively running a cross country event. You may want to send students with a change of shoes.

Students are to come to school in the following clothes on cross country day:

• Rākau team school sports uniform. If any students do not have an Andersons Bay sports uniform, they are to wear their school polo top and black shorts or tights.

• Students in Māhuri are to wear shorts suitable for running in and their school polo top.

All students will need their school jacket or polarfleece to put on before and after their running.

Sportsmanship and cheering others on is an important skill. We expect all students to stay at school in their own class group until the final race has run.

Once the whole school event has finished, parents may take their child home, as long as they have let their child's teacher know they are leaving.

If we need to postpone the Cross Country, we will notify you via email, Skool Loop App and Facebook by 8:15 am on Thursday. The postponement date is Wednesday 14th of August.
