Choir (Year 3 and above)

Choir sign-up took place this week on Wednesday 5th February.

However, if your child is still thinking of joining choir this year, it is not too late. Please have a read through the following sign up contract with your child to see what is involved. Please note that it is a commitment for the whole year. 

Paper copies of this contract can still be collected from me and need to be signed and returned, preferably by the end of Week 3 (Friday 14th February). 

We look forward to beginning our 2025 choir practices on Monday 17th February.

Andersons Bay School Choir - 2025

I would like to join the Andersons Bay School choir for 2025. I understand that this commitment is for all of 2025. 

N.B. Entry is restricted to Year 3 and above.

I will remember to attend both weekly practices - Monday lunchtimes from 12.45-1.15pm and Wednesdays from 2.20-3.00pm.

 Events your child may be part of are:

*Term 1 - Learning to sing in a choir; learning some songs to practise our singing techniques; learning/practising songs for the Term 1 event (still to be advised), and performing at this event. 

Beginning to learn the songs for the ‘Kids Sing' (which is to be held in Term 2).

N.B. There will be more details to follow regarding these two performances as they come to hand.  

*Term 2 - Developing our performance skills; learning/practising songs for the ‘Kids Sing’ performance and performing at thisevent later in Term 2 (date to be advised).

*Term 3 - Continuing to build up our song repertoire; choir assembly.

*Term 4 - Learning/practising Christmas songs, Whanau lunch performance, performing in our end of year mini Christmas concert at school, performing at the end of year break-up.

I am looking forward to having fun, making new friends, and performing at a variety of events throughout the year.
