On Monday 5th August, 30 of our Andersons Bay Year 6 students attended the Marimba Jam at Tahuna Intermediate School, along with students from a number of other Dunedin schools.

They had a fabulous morning of music and singing, and got to play a range of instruments including chime bars, glockenspiels, bucket drums, ukuleles and bongo drums. 

The grand finale involved creating a forest soundscape to accompany a poem. They used sticks, stones, shells, along with other instrumental sounds, and the finished result sounded absolutely amazing!

Well done to our Year 6 students who attended this event.
