Pauline Simpson —

Week Three

It was very special this week for our students to see the time capsule that was put down in 1996 being taken up. Although many of the items were a little water damaged, it was exciting to see what the students of 1996 had put into the capsule. It was also a lovely opportunity to welcome our wider community to the school last evening to look over the time capsule and other school memorabilia. After this weekend, the hall will no longer be available for us to use.

Assemblies will be held in Te Paihere, our library space, from next week. Until our new hall and classrooms are built, assemblies will follow a different format. We will be unable to have whole classes hosting our assemblies due to lack of room, so our assemblies will be shorter, starting at 2:40 p.m. each Friday.

I look forward to seeing you at our school Tryathlon this Sunday. It's shaping up to be a great community event.
