Week Four

School Contribution

A reminder that all payments of our School Contribution paid before 1 March are eligible for a 10% discount, meaning you pay $225.00 instead of $250.00 for the year. We have really appreciated the large number of parents who have paid this contribution so promptly. The school contribution covers our trips to Quarantine Island, which will take place during March for each class. We will have more details about these trips out to you at the beginning of next week. All trips will take place between 17 and 26 March.

The school contribution also covers swimming lessons in Terms 2 and 4, as well as any day trips, shows and other activities that occur during the year. We are very grateful for your support with paying the contribution, as it enables all these exciting activities to take place.

School Interviews

We all enjoyed connecting with you at school interviews this week. We had a great turnout of parents, and teachers really appreciated the opportunity to learn more about your children. Strong home / school partnerships are important for supporting the learning of our children. If you have not yet come along to meet your child's teacher, please contact them to make a time to meet.

Arriving at school on time

Our classrooms are open for students from 8:30 a.m. each morning. We encourage all students to be at school no later than 8:50 a.m. so that they have time to unpack their bags and get ready to start the school day promptly at 8:55 a.m. We love having the time to say good morning and chat to each child as they arrive. This sets them up well for a great day of learning. High attendance and punctuality are important indicators of success at school and we appreciate your support with this.

Te Reo Māori Extension Group

Our Te Reo Māori extension class will start at the beginning of March. If you are interested in your child being part of this class, please let me know - principal@andybay.ac.nz. Whānau are welcome to come along to any class sessions.
