Principal's Report
Week Eight
Quarantine Island
A huge highlight for this week has been the start of our class visits to Quarantine Island. This has been such a special trip, and one that I am sure will be in the minds of students, teachers and parents who were on the trip, for a long time to come. A very heartfelt thank you to parents and grandparents who have come along to support the children at Quarantine Island. There was so much learning involved in the day that will be followed up on over the rest of the term, so I am sure you will hear more about it all from your children.
Teacher Only Day Today
I want to acknowledge the extra organisation that happens for parents each time we have a Teacher Only Day at school, and to thank you for this. Today was an extremely valuable day of learning for our teachers and they were all grateful for the dedicated time to work together on our refreshed mathematics curriculum. It is so important that we have a consistent, high quality approach to planning and teaching programmes that support all our children to be successful, and having time together working on how we deliver the curriculum effectively is crucial. We are excited about our approach to mathematics learning, and we look forward to sharing more information soon about our mathematics programmes and how you can support these at home.
I hope you all have an enjoyable long weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday.
