This year, all primary schools in New Zealand are required to implement the refreshed Mathematics and English curriculums. We welcome the new curriculum documents, as they are more structured and give more clarity about the learning that students need at each level. To support successful implementation of these refreshed curriculum areas, ministerial approval has been given for Boards to close their school for Teacher Only Days.

The Board have attached the Teacher Only Days to Otago Anniversary Weekend and King’s Birthday Weekend to minimise disruption to families.
