Principal's Report

It was a pleasure to join our Year 5 students at Waiora camp on Wednesday this week. The benefits and opportunities that going on camp provides are a valuable part of our Rākau Education Outside the Classroom programme. I would like to acknowledge the parents and teachers who did such a fantastic job at camp, and of course our wonderful students. It was great to see our students giving everything a go, learning new skills and showing caring and kindness to their fellow campers.

We have had an exciting term of learning over the past 11 weeks and I have been impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment students have shown. Today I have seen some great bug hotels that our Year 1 students have made, and I have also seen some fantastic progress students have made in their writing this week.

Have a wonderful holiday break over the next two weeks. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday 29 April rested and ready for another great term of learning.
