Readathon

A huge thank you to everyone who has returned their readathon forms and money to school this week. We have really appreciated the commitment to reading that so many students have shown over the course of the readathon. 

We would appreciate all students returning their readathon forms and money to the school office by next week please. 

 

Outside Opportunities

It has been great to see so many of our students involved with extra activities this week. We had great success with our Ariki Cup cross country running team yesterday, taking out the Ariki Cup. This is the first time since 2015 our school has won the overall Ariki Cup trophy. We will acknowledge this team in assembly next week. 

Yesterday we also had four Year 5 and 6 teams representing Andersons Bay School at the annual O’Mathlon mathematics competition. Today we have students participating in a rugby league tournament with other schools. These events provide our students with a variety of opportunities to get involved and represent the school. We are always proud of their achievements. 

School Production

Tickets for our school production will be on sale from next Wednesday from the Regent Theatre. Practices are going well and the children are getting excited. You will all have received an email from your child’s teacher about costumes for their class dance. If you have any questions about costumes, please get in touch with the class teacher.
