Praying with Cinema—7-day silent retreat with Alumine Andrews

Antje Duda —

Join Sister Eveleen House for this unique silent retreat focused on the joy of cinema and how films can provide us with spiritual inspiration and guidance.

This retreat will be held in full silence for seven days, with different films chosen based on topics to guide you through the retreat process. Each day will revolve around a film based on the themes of new beginnings, difficult endings, and how to orientate ourselves in a world that can undermine our spiritual stability. Retreatants will enjoy a regular rhythm of contemplative prayer, delicious homecooked meals, daily film viewing, and spiritual direction.

Date: Friday, 1st December 6:00 pm-Thursday, 7th December, 12:30 pm (approx).

Cost: $750 (if you'd like to come but the cost is prohibitive, please get in touch as we may be able to bring the cost down for you).

Location: 6 Whitewash Head Road, 6 Whitewash Head Road, Scarborough, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand
