Hanmer Springs is a resort town in North Canterbury, known and promoted as a place of healing and wellness.

We are seeking a half-time vicar, and welcome interest from someone who:

• feels a strong calling from God to be in Hanmer Springs.

• is willing not only to be part of the church family but to engage intentionally with the wider community.

• has youthful energy / relevance / the ability to engage with people of all sorts – to love them.

• will preach from God's word and lead Sunday worship that is welcoming to all, helping those already leading to develop their gifts and talents, and encouraging all in ways of ministry.

• is up for a challenge - to pastor a small congregation with diverse opinions, who hold in common their belief in God and their calling to ministry in the community.

• is an Anglican priest currently in good standing with their bishop and conversant with the character and culture of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.
