Budding Evangelists graduate from 'Faith Empowered' Course.

Mark Chamberlain —

The efforts of those graduating from the recent 'Faith Empowered' Course were honoured during the week at the Anglican Centre.

The course was designed to help participates share their faith confidently with their friends and family. 18 people representing 12 parishes completed the 10 session, Zoom-based course which lasted a year.

It was a great success with participants saying they had grown in confidence and were speaking to others more readily. Some have been passing on their skills by teaching members of their home groups some of the principles of personal evangelism.

Topics covered included the following:

  1. Buidling Relationships
  2. Sowing Seeds
  3. Listening to context
  4. Being Church
  5. Reflecting Well
  6. Missional Planning
  7. Enabling Others
  8. Tackling Big Questions
  9. Learning Through Failure

It is hoped that those who completed the course would teach the course to others and Church Army (UK) have provided some excellent follow up resources for this.

It is also planned to offer Facilitators special training on how to train others. Please contact the Archdeacon for Regeneration and Mission if you want further information or would like to sign up to do the course yourself.
