  • Saturday, 9 March — Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage from Rangiora to Central Christchurch.
  • Sunday, 10 March — Cathedral Worship Night from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
  • Wednesdays during Lent — Eucharist at 7.30am at the Transitional Cathedral.
  • Saturday, 23 March, 3.30pm to 5.30pm — Fendalton Parish, St Barnabas Messy Church Easter: Sticks and Stones! Food, fun, faith, family craft, meal. $5 per family. Come and hear the Easter story, and bring your friends of all ages along too! 
  • Safe Ministry 101 Professional Development, 9am–4pm — Thursday, 11 April (St Peter's, Upper Riccarton); Thursday, 9 May (All Souls', Merivale); Saturday, 1 June (St Stephen's, Ashburton); Saturday, 22 June (St Mary's, Timaru); Thursday, 27 June (St Stephen's, Lincoln); Tuesday, 13 August (North Canterbury, venue TBC); and Thursday, 22 August (St Faith's, New Brighton).   • Clergy Conference — 4pm Monday 10 June to 2pm Wednesday 12 June in Methven. Details about speakers, venue, accommodation are being finalised and will be communicated soon. Please put these dates in your diaries now. The theme of the conference is "Regeneration: The Next Five Years".

Palm Sunday, 24 March

  • 8am, 9.30am &10am at Fendalton Parish, St Barnabas: Come and receive your palm cross as we celebrate Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, and the crowd waving palm branches as they acclaimed him King.
  • 9am & 10.30am at St Christopher's Anglican Church, 244 Avonhead Road, Avonhead.
  • Sunday of the Passion with the Liturgy of the Palms: 9.30am at All Saints Hokitika; 10am for the Congregation of St James & St John at Community Hall, HariHari.
  • Service of Passiontide Music & Readings: 5pm at the Transitional Cathedral.


Holy Monday, 25 March

  • 7.30am at St Stephen's Church, 64 Park St, Ashburton.
  • 7pm at Church of St Mary, Truscotts Rd / Martindales Rd, Parish of Heathcote and Mt Pleasant.
