First weddings in 14 years

In the first week of October two weddings were held (on consecutive days!) at St Paul's Church, Glenmark. This stretched our resources given that the last wedding was 14 years ago, but everyone rose to the occasion and things went smoothly. While the Church restoration is not complete, it is still very much a functional Church and retains all of its sacredness and atmosphere. With a wee bit of creative decoration the Church looked stunning.

So many people have connections to the Church with a family member having been married there. For the newlyweds Hannah (nee Foster) and Justin Driver, Hannah's parents (Geoff Foster and Victoria Blatchford) and great grandparents (Ian Foster and Elsie Stackhouse) were also married here. Hannah's grandfather, Errol Blatchford was at the wedding, having been People's Warden for many years and served on Vestry.

We look forward to many more weddings as the restoration continues.
