Aotea Electric Marlborough Completes LED Upgrade For Te Pūkenga, NMIT
Leading up to the beginning of the school year, Aotea Electric Marlborough made some needed upgrades to Te Pūkenga classroom lighting.
As we get closer to the beginning of the school year, Aotea Electric Marlborough has recently completed a lighting upgrade to Te Pūkenga (previously NMIT, Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology). These new LED light fittings have been installed across multiple rooms and were specifically chosen for their low-glare characteristics, which will help reduce headaches and migraines among students and keep productivity levels at a maximum.
Not only will these new light fittings reduce the strain put on students' vision, but they also only require half the amount of energy to run (compared to the previous light fittings)—a conscious decision made by Aotea Electric Marlborough to align with Te Pūkenga's current sustainability plan.
"It is important to keep sustainability at the forefront of what we do as it contributes to the success of our learners, their whānau and our people." Vaughan Payne, Deputy Chief Executive Operations, Te Pūkenga.
