Celebrating People In Aotea Group.
Introducing you all to Phil LePoidevin, and Jaco Mostert, Safety and Wellbeing Lead for Aotea Group.
Hailing from South Africa, Jaco has lived in New Zealand for just over 18 years. During his downtime, you will find Jaco spending time with family and friends, refereeing rugby in the North Harbour rugby competition or milking the cows in Northland with his son.
Originally trained as a firefighter and EMT (emergency medical technician), Jaco transitioned to the Health and Safety sector as a natural career progression as he lives and breathes H&S. Now Jaco provides support to the wider OPCOs as the Safety and Wellbeing Lead for Aotea Group Holdings Ltd (AGHL)
Married with two kids and fluent in English and Afrikaans, you will also find Jaco around a braai sipping on brandy or a cold beer.
Jaco’s Safety Tip: Safety starts with you.
I have been a business owner since I was 24, starting with a car audio company, then starting Elite Automation in 2010, catering towards high-end AV/Automation/Electrical works.
I have been contract selling Solar for seven years. The industry has always been on the brink of a gold rush until now. It seems that today is the right time for Solar.
I have a fantastic partner, Kylie, who I met in high school, though never married, as we decided a boat was a far better option! We have two fantastic kids, 23 & 21, who are now living their best lives since completing their degrees.
I love being on the lake, spending time wake surfing/wakeboarding and having a few beers with family and friends. I also enjoy the outdoors. Golf...Well, that’s just a love-hate relationship. Some of my other interests include boxing and hunting.
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in Oct’s managers’ meeting.
