Students Offer Rave Reviews of French Film

Lorraine Schofield —

Year 9 to 13 French students and whānau/famille took in some French film culture this term as part of the French Film Festival Aeotearoa 2024.

They gathered at Luxe Cinema on June 13 to watch Divertimento, one of the festival films on show. Students enjoyed socialising across the different year groups and making new connections.

Here’s what they had to say:

“The movie was very interesting and I learned a lot about music.”  Ivy - Year 10

“It was a really good movie and I would happily do it next year. It was très bien.”  Ruby - Year 10

“It was nice to do something French outside of school…… I love making these memories with friends and meeting new people.”  Sam - Year 10

“I really enjoyed the film, it was very inspiring.” Ezra - Year 10
