Forty-eight Year 9 students will be facing the winter elements at the Blue Mountains Adventure Park in the Tongariro National Park during week one of next term.

The students will be taking part in a wide range of outdoor activities at the outdoor education centre from caving, rafting, rocking climbing, tramping, to honing their bush skills on a night outdoors.

Students fundraised for the trip last term by taking part in the famous ‘AC Backyard Relay.’ 

They ran or walked as many 1-kilometre laps of the field as they could within 90 minutes. Students were sponsored by friends and family for the number of laps completed. Most students clocked up 10 kilometres during the allocated time, with some reaching 14km.
