Wrapping up our Summer Tournament coverage… Congratulations to our football players who took part in the NZ Secondary School Futsal Northern Regional Cup.

The Aquinas girls’ team played eight games, won three pool play games, and finished sixth overall! Impressively, they won a hard-fought battle against a strong Tauranga Girls’ College side that went on to place second overall!

And they bested Tokoroa in a tight match that saw Aquinas score the winning goal with just three minutes left on the clock. It was such a brilliant game to watch that the tournament director came out to shake each of our girl’s hands and applaud their efforts!

The Aquinas boys’ team had a tough tournament and was truly unlucky to lose a couple of its games. The team did well, placing seventh overall. Well done all, a great team effort!
