Aquinas is thrilled to announce that seven students have been awarded New Zealand Scholarship! Five Aquinas Yr 12 students attained Scholarship in 2022 as did one Yr 11 student. Four of those were in Biology, again underscoring the Aquinas Science Faculty’s prowess.

The achievement is phenomenal given that 2022 was the toughest school year of the pandemic to date. NZ Scholarship recognises NZ’s top three per cent of students in each NCEA Level 3 subject. 

Particular congratulations to Finley Jones (Yr 13) who was awarded an Outstanding Scholarship in English. This grade is awarded to just the top 0.3% of students sitting each exam. 

We are incredibly proud of all seven recipients and the teachers who supported them. Amazing work!
