Here they are folks, the Aquinas athletes who smashed 11 school records at last week’s Athletics Day. Some amazing performances by some very talented athletes!
Maria Tustin (Y9): Broke 2021 U14 Girls 200m record of 28:86 with a new benchmark of 28:68.
Kaitlin Black (Yr 11): Broke 2017 U16 Girls 200m record of 27.77 with a speedy 26:98.
Broke 2016 U16 Girls 100m record of 13:48 with her speedy 12:61 finish.
Vaughan Murray (Yr 11): Broke 2016 U14 Boys 3000m record of 10:49 with a new 10:27 time.
Broke 2020 U14 Boys Long Jump record of 4.92m with his 4.99m jump.
Hamish Murray (Yr 12): Broke 2015 U16 Boys 3000m record of 10:12 with a speedy 9:52:47.
Callum Murray (Y13): Broke 2019 U19 Boys 3000m record of 10:16:24 with a blistering 9:51:51.
Broke 2020 U19 Boys 1500m record of 4:25:07 with a new 4:16:03 time.
Maxwell Stringer (Yr 13): Broke Commonwealth Games competitor Joseph Millar’s 2010 U19 Boys 100m record of 10:96 with a new 10:95 time.
Noa Hansson (Yr 8): Broke 2022 Yr 8 Boys Discus record of 21:69m with his 21:78m throw.
Luka Mahy (Yr 11): Broke 2012 U16 Boys High Jump record of 1.70m with his 1.76m leap.
Delilah Smith (Yr 7): Broke 2020 Yr 7 Girls High Jump record of 1.27m with her 1.28m jump.
