In a fantastic celebration of culture and faith, this year’s Aquinas Haka and Waiata Competition ended with a stirring whole-school haka - thought to be a college first. As captured here on video, students stood as one last Thursday to perform the Aquinas haka together.

Students also gave a memorable full-school waiata to departing Y13 House leaders to thank them for their service and wish them well.

The annual contest put House pride on the line as Heni Pore, Cluny, Browne and Foy students battled for their haka and waiata to be judged the best.

It was a close call but Foy ultimately emerged triumphant, followed by Heni Pore, Brown then Cluny. Whakamihi to all students for their spirited participation!
