Congratulations to Yr 13 paddler, Maia Hetutu, who won the Te Takere final in the U19 Girls 250m Waka Ama Secondary School champs recently.

Maia advanced through her heat and semi-final on Lake Tikitapu, Rotorua, to reach the B final where she clawed her way to the front and edged ahead in the last five metres for first place. Maia was commended for representing Aquinas with dignity and composure. Ka mau te wehi Maia!
