Biology Students Calculate Estuary Biodiversity
The annual Level 2 Biology Ecology field trip to Matua was another huge success!
About 70 students travelled to Beach Road on March 8 for some hands-on learning about estuary organisms. Students worked in teams to survey the estuary area to find a distribution pattern for the huge number of species inhabiting the area.
Cockles, mud whelks, horn shells, starfish, crabs….the biodiversity didn’t disappoint.
Once again, our students were a credit to Aquinas College.
