U14 girls - Mackenzie Jury

U14 boys - Rowan Holmes

U16 girls - Indie Scholes

U16 boys - Thomas Magill

U19 girls - Tessa Harvey

U19 boys - Hunter Sands

Matt Dalton - NZ Hockey Masters Selection

Aquinas has another NZ sportsperson, our very own Principal Matt Dalton. He’s been selected in the NZ men’s 40s masters hockey team to compete in the World Cup in South Africa later this year.

Aidan Bollee - Open Water Swimming Victory

Hats off to Year 12 open-water swimmer Aidan Bollee who won gold at the recent 4.2km Across Lake Taupo Swim. Not only was he the first male youth swimmer out of the water but he was second overall in a time of 1:00.30.

It’s his best result to date, but not his longest swim. Aidan completed the 15km Lake Rotoma swim last year, and has many more events on the horizon. Inspiring work Aidan, well done!

1st XI Girls Cricket

Congrats to the Aquinas 1st XI girls cricket team which recently wrapped up its three Gillette Venus Cup qualifying matches. The young, novice team is still learning the finer points of the game but has steadily improved throughout the contest. Though not progressing to the next round, the girls should be very proud of their achievements.

A special shoutout to Year X player, Ella Blackburn, who played for the Western BOP Year 9-10 girls team in the River Bend Tournament in Napier - and was the side’s top wicket-taker!
