Additional PPTA industrial action has been confirmed for Term 2 should teachers and the Government fail to agree on improved pay and working conditions.

Subject to progress in negotiations, a one-day strike will be held for BOP secondary schools, including Aquinas, on Thursday, May 11.

Rolling year-level strikes from weeks two to seven of next term is also planned. The proposed action would occur on the following days: 

Thursday, May 4 for Year 11

Tuesday, May 9 for Year 12

Tuesday, May 16 for Year 9

Wednesday, May 17 for Year 10

Thursday, May 25 for Year 11

Tuesday, May 30 for Year 13

Thursday, June 1 for Year 12

Tuesday, June 6 Year 10

Thursday, June 8 for Year 9

The Principal and Board will determine how the school will operate on these days, but you should be prepared for your children to be at home due to the small number of non-union staff at our college.
