Hiking, Mountain Biking and TLC at Year 10 Camp

Aquinas College —

Our Year 10 students had a fantastic time at the annual three-night camp at the Blue Lakes last week. Aimed at instilling teamwork, leadership and cooperation (TLC), the camp more than met its obligations — with each student stepping up and demonstrating all three qualities throughout the stay.

The ninety-eight students took part in white water rafting, mountain biking, tramping and the famed Aquinas Challenge, with the weather throwing sun, rain and even thunderstorms at them. Our grateful thanks to the staff who gave up their time to make this camp happen.

We’re also giving a community salute to Pub Charity Limited for significantly reducing the cost of the camp. A funding grant from the charity covered all transport costs and virtually all accommodation, leaving students and families to just pay for food and activities. Our thanks to Pub Charity
