Congratulations to Aquinas poets Mila Laurie and Chloe Oosthuizen who won this year’s Battle of Te Ranga poetry competition
Mila (Year 13) won the senior category and a $100 book voucher while Chloe (Year 8) received a $50 book voucher for taking out the junior section.
The poetry competition for Aquinas students seeks to raise awareness of the battle's historical importance.
Both poems were read at the recent 160th Commemoration of the Battle of Te Ranga. Congratulations girls!
