Year 11 cheerleader, Parnell Davis, has won gold with her team at the 2022 Australasian Majors - the biggest Trans-Tasman cheerleading competition. Parnell’s All Stars Legacy Viperz team won first place in the Level 5 division and was then judged overall Level 5 Grand Champions, a massive NZ victory on Australian soil.

The event was held in Brisbane during Labour Weekend.

Parnell and the team are now training for the World Championships in Florida next April. Parnell has won selection to the NZ Worlds team for the past two years but both trips were cancelled due to Covid.

One of the youngest members of the team, Parnell travels to Auckland each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon to train and returns around midnight. Impressive mahi Parnell and a well-deserved victory!
