Congratulations to Year 12 artist Keisha Abrau who was named a finalist in the Acorn Foundation’s Junior Art Awards 20204. Her artwork is now in the running for the contest’s People’s Choice Award — and we’d love our Aquinas whānau to jump online and vote for her.

The Junior Art Awards attracted entries from BOP tamariki ranging in age from four to 18 years. The contest’s theme was Ahurea Tuakiri | Cultural Identity.

Keisha’s entry, titled ‘Who Am I’, is from her 2022 NCEA Level 1 art portfolio that, coincidentally, had the same theme. The acrylic-on-paper artwork explores her cultural and personal identity.
