Scholarships and Financial Assistance: Ara is pleased to offer support for students with the financial aspect of their studies. These services can help save students money or with unexpected financial hardships. There are a variety of scholarships ranging from our Ara Advantage Scholarships, to some more specific options, provided by generous industry and community donors. We recommend anyone thinking about studying with us to check these out. It is a great way of making study more accessible. Financial assistance has grants available such as an emergency assistance grant, the Ara hardship grants and students can also get budgeting advice and support from a number of different organisations. 

Student ID Card: Once fully enrolled, students can get their Ara Student ID. This allows students to use printing services, afterhours building access, use of the library, plus, many stores around Ōtautahi offer student deals by showing a valid ID.

Careers and Employment: Helping prospective students through to graduates, this team provides advice, assistance with exploring career options and ways to develop employability. The friendly team can also help with job search, CVs, interview preparation and more. 

Health and Wellbeing: From student support, to personal training, there are many options available to support students mental, physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
