In collaboration with Open Polytechnic, Ara is piloting a blended-delivery Digital Design dual enrolment programme.

Our Digital Design course is aimed at students who are interested in a career in digital creative design and offers 20 NCEA credits at Level 2. This programme involves completing work both online and every three weeks in person at Ara where learners will implement their learning within the Unreal Engine game-design software. This component of the programme will appeal to not only those learners interested in Art and Design, but also in the artistic elements of video game design. There are still spaces available in this programme, and we would welcome any interested students to apply. This could be particularly suitable if these standards are different to what is offered at your school, or students have not been able to take a Digital Design class due to timetabling.
