Pre-lockdown we were lucky enough to get a taste, literally, of what the DE bakery students get up to.

These students put on a wonderful spread of sweet and savoury for their families. It was really wonderful to be there and to chat to the students and their families about the program. A bakery dual enrolment student from Mairehau High School said this about the course: 

“It gave me an opportunity to try out something new. I like my tutor too, she’s really really good. I’ve learnt lots of new skills and had a really good time. I’m going into the full-time course next year, this course gave me the encouragement to enrol for that."
