St Paul's Mission Action Plan combines inreach and outreach.

Mark Chamberlain —

Last Sunday a highly engaged group of St Paul's parishioners brainstormed ways to develop their mission.

It was a delight to work with a group of committed Vestry members and parishioners from St Paul's on Sunday. After become more familiar with the Diocese Mission Action Plan we undertook a useful brainstorming session on how we could more effectively carry forward God's mission in the parish.

Three key Missional Priorities were agree on;

  • Develop the parish's ministry to Children and Families
  • Improve all aspects of parish communications to enable engagement with enquirers, groups and businesses
  • Enable parishioners to grow in faith, knowledge of Christianity and the ability to bear witness to their faith

The parish has been using the 'Prayer for Mission' consistently from the 'Leading your Church into Growth' conference and show a strong desire to reach new people and younger generations.

It was an encouraging time for me - St Paul's has such a strong heritage of children's and youth ministry and discipleship. We pray for Rev Tim Frank and his lay team as they build on and carry forward this wonderful heritage.
