Growing the mission at Glenmark-Waikari
Key Glenmark-Waikari parishioners met recently to develop their mission plans
Visit this articleGreetings from the ARM! I continue to be encouraged by the missional initiatives I see happening all around the Diocese. In spite of the many challenges there are openings in the culture for effective mission and outreach. One of the benefits of having a person in my role is that I can collect stories of what's happening, share them and spark other ideas in other contexts. Through God's Spirit we can all be stirred up to carry forward the good news of God's love in new and effective ways.
Coaching Training: Many of us want to become more effective in leading teams, discipling and encouraging others one on one. To meet this need, I have organised a day long coaching training seminar. It's on Friday 21 April and the seminar leader is Organizational Psychologist John Eatwell. See a separate article in this magazine for more information.
On-line Ministry at St Peter's: Archdeacon Nick and his team continue to develop the parish's on-line ministry posting long and short format sermons each week. A recent sermon received over 40,000 views on all platforms!
Trip to UK: With the Bishop's encouragement I will be travelling to the UK in mid-June to attend a Church Planting/Grafting Conference and to visit a number of small, new and rural church plants. This may be a way we can carry forward the gospel in our Diocese and work towards regeneration and renewal.
LyCiG Conference: Don't forget to include the dates for this year's Leading your Church into Growth conference into your parish calendar and begin thinking about who you could invite as part of your parish team. The conference will run from Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday - 12th - 14th of October.
