Addington congregation grows by a third - what are they doing?
The Addington Vestry led by Rev Helen Roud are resisting the pressure to focus solely on maintenance but are getting serious about mission!
They're setting aside significant time to plan and strategize for growth. They're also using the LyCiG Local material to reinforce the 4Ps - Prayer, Presence, Proclamation and Persuasion - and attendance has grown by one third!
And Vestry have developed a short saying to keep them focused - 'Two in every pew' - in other words having a goal of 2 people in every pew of the church!
