Give Where Your Live and Support Your Local Community this Christmas 202

We are reaching out to ask that you help Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) to make positive changes to those in need across all parts of Otago. Together, we can make this season a little brighter and bring lasting change to those who need it most.

For many in our community, Christmas is a time of both joy and struggle, given the increased financial demands and economic adversity that we all feel. The holidays and beyond can be incredibly challenging.

With Christmas approaching, we want to share with you how you can help us provide this support to more families, to help people have a joyful celebration.

You Can Make an Impact This Christmas

Your support this Christmas will stay local and go directly toward helping families in ways that make a lasting difference.

Financial Gift: Your support will play a crucial role in ensuring a brighter future for families and individuals in need. Donations will be used to provide food for Christmas and/or community support programmes for families, rangatahi and tamariki well into the new year. You can choose what to donate towards.

Please donate towards our programmes at psotago.org.nz/donate

Vouchers: Donating vouchers for supermarkets and department stores (eg The Warehouse) will be extremely useful for families so they are able to make a choice on items they most need.  Vouchers for experiences will enable us to provide families with the means to take part in a family activity during the holiday season. These can be dropped into our Family Works office at 407 Moray Place, Dunedin, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm. Note: there is a 5-minute park right outside.

Food Supplies: Donations of canned goods, dry food products, and Christmas treats will help us create holiday food baskets for families. These can be dropped into our foodbank at 407 Moray Place, Dunedin, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm. Note: there is a 5-minute park right outside.

Movies for Teens: Teens are often the ones who miss out when finances are challenging. To purchase a ticket for a teen please donate using the link below - every $10 donation will provide movie ticket! Donate at psotago.org.nz/moviesforteens/

We wish you and your family a joy filled Christmas this year and we sincerely thank you for your support of our community.

New Zealand Traveller Declaration

The New Zealand Traveller Declaration is an online system that travellers can use to complete a declaration before they travel into New Zealand.

The new digital system was launched in August 2023 and not many people know they can now do it online – replacing the paper card you used to fill out on the plane.

We are keen to promote it for the upcoming school holidays, in particular for families who might be travelling overseas and will need to complete a declaration when they return
