ROSTERING HOME:

It is with regret that, due to a renewed spike in COVID cases amongst staff, Ashburton College is rostering students home from Thursday 19 May.

The rostering home is:

· Year 12 learning from home Thursday 19 May

· Year 13 learning from home Friday 20 May

· Year 9 learning from home Monday 23 May (this incudes Year 9 Kōhanga students)

· Year 11 learning from home Tuesday 24 May

· Year 10 learning from home Wednesday 25 May (this includes Year 10 Kōhanga students)

· Te Whare Manaaki will remain open as usual

Following this, rostering home will be reviewed every two days. This action has not been taken lightly and is in response to an acute staffing shortage that has emerged very quickly.

Please note, students will have access to work to complete via Google Classrooms, or hard copy, for their scheduled days home. Keeping up to date is vitally important so students can attain the credits as NZQA have indicated they will not be offering learning recognition credits as they have done over the last 2 years.

External courses (e.g. Gateway, Ara, work placements etc) will still run as per usual even if it is a rostered day off. Senior students may be able to come on site and work with available staff if pre-arranged.
