On Monday the 16th of March the school held a mufti day to raise awareness and money for the first responders (St Johns) of the March 15 Mosque attack. The theme was Colour Your Day. Students wore bright clothing to recognise the anniversary of one of New Zealand's darkest days. The donations went to St Johns as it is run and staffed by people who are passionate about serving their communities and caring for fellow New Zealanders. They are also a charity that is not funded by the government and have a volunteer ethos, with paid and volunteer members working side by side.
