Phoenix Chorus were honoured to be asked to perform at the Rotary Changeover Meeting held at the Ashburton Golf Club on Tuesday night.

Ashburton Rotary members are generous supporters of our choirs and the College as a whole, so it was lovely to have the opportunity to give back and show our appreciation.

 Angela Cresswell is the Musical Director and Stephen Diedricks accompanied the choir.The choir performed a diverse programme including songs from musical theatre and film to classical and acapella. A special request from the Rotarians who had attended the recent 'Concert of Choirs' was 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' made famous by Cyndi Lauper in 1983. Another crowd favourite was 'Release Our Love' by Ali Harper. 

 At the end of the performance, the choir was presented with a donation to put towards our 2022 tour to Northland. This was gratefully received with thanks by our choir members.
