Ashburton College had some good results in the ICAS Mathematics Competition held on Wednesday 21st October.......

Twelve students sat the ICAS Mathematics competition. This is an on-line one hour problem solving competition. Again, we had some outstanding results.

Year 9Luke Hay achieved a High Distinction award with his results putting him in the top 1% of all Year 9 New Zealand and Pacific students. Ella Rickard also gained an excellent result achieving a Credit award and results putting her in the top 14% of students. Other results were Steven Harris and Hector Diamante gaining Credit awards, in the top 25% of students and Nicholas Collie and Keagan Nel with participation awards.

Year 10Andreea Ciora gained a Merit award, in the top 45% of Year 10 students. Angela Ciora and Ethan van Dijk both gained participation awards.

Year 11Dillon Rogers gained a merit award in the top 40% of Year 11 students. Marc Calzada and Zane Cameron received participation awards.
