The Power of Student Voice.

I certainly enjoy reading student blogs. As a Mathematics teacher, this medium is not one that I am used to. However, after reading numerous postings I am beginning to appreciate the insights that our akonga have. It is apparent to me that blogging is a very useful way to really connect with how our students make sense of their learning, which is evolving to become more inclusive and reflective.

This is mirrored in the shared learning experience of the teacher groups in the pilot programme. For example, within my own group, we have responded by changing and reworking our ideas in light of what were our initial learning goals. This is a dynamic situation that I enjoy. A process which is collaborative, connected and creative. Foundations I believe, that will generate informed, active citizens who are lifelong learners.
