Aupaki Kāhui Ako

We build and share our strengths so that our ākonga, whānau, kaiako and community, experience being engaged, inspired and culturally confident.

Kia ora and Welcome to Aupaki Kāhui Ako

The kura of Sumner Primary, Redcliffs Primary, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Mt Pleasant School, Heathcote Valley School, Lyttelton Primary, Linwood College and Kimihia Parents' College and nine local ECEs are proud to be associated with Aupaki Kāhui Ako, working together develop a strong foundation for our tamariki.

Through collective and collaborative effort Aupaki strives to:

  • build trusting relationships with iwi, whānau, ECEs and primary schools through to Linwood College by providing opportunities for connection and working collaboratively towards a shared purpose

  • provide strategic and deliberate professional development to strengthen and sustain effective teaching and learning in a culturally sustaining way

  • identify and share strengths, weaknesses, resources and expertise to learn with, and from, each other in a model that promotes a tuakana-teina relationship.
