**CANCELLED DUE TO WET WEATHER CONDITIONS** Great Olympic Skate Roadshow

Carolyn Mason —

Grab your skateboards and come out to support the New Zealand team ahead of the Tokyo Olympic Games!

We’d like to invite you and your students to visit the New Zealand Olympic Committee’s Great Olympic Skate Roadshow and its super-sized skateboard on Monday 31 May at Christchurch’s Washington Way Skate Park from 3pm to 5pm.

We’d love to see you and your students come out after school to see the record breaking 12-metre-long, 800kg skateboard, dubbed Eke Tahi (Ride as One).

The skateboard will be joined by two of New Zealand’s top skateboarders Matt Markland and Bowman Hansen.

The super-sized skateboard represents the Olympic Games offering more extreme, more urban and more youth-focused events, including skateboarding, surfing and three-on-three basketball.

Location + time:
Monday 31 May at the Washington Way Skate Park from 3pm to 5pm

We can’t wait for CHRISTCHURCH to GET ON BOARD!
