Ben Guo was awarded an Academic Scholarship and Elnathan Chung was awarded the Cultural Scholarship to attend Riccarton High school in 2018. 

The Peerswick Scholarships are a great honour as both of these students were up against tough competition from other Y8 students from contributing schools and intermediates. Riccarton High School offers three scholarships for outstanding performance in sporting, academic and cultural fields and Ben and Elnathan were awarded the cultural and academic scholarships. Both Ben and Elnathan are great contributors at Avonhead School and have taken part in the many opportunities open to them and as a result continue to be great role models in our school.

Each of the scholarship recipients receives a $1,000 cheque, to get them started at Riccarton High School for 2018 as well as a certificate and the honour of the award. We are very proud of both our students, as they both work hard at school, are always striving for excellence and are testimony that hard work and effort equals reward! Congratulations, we are very proud of you both.
